Full Ten-Four Coyote Hauling It Moon

My calendar says that the full moon is this Sunday night. My fancy dandy iPhone app says that Saturday and Sunday nights are both at 99% so I looked at sunset/moon rise times, both days are good so pick your most convenient and go for it. Sunday's will be a bit closer to each other.

Charles Allen says to "Always drink upstream from the herd" which seems pretty obvious to me, but probably needed to be said anyway.

9-15-19 Ahhhhh! Cool at last, coffee on the swing, Sunday paper read, first time in months, not a RTHB, Ruby Throat Humming Bird, in sight. Hmmmm may be gone for winter. It is about that time, perhaps a bit early.....
9-23-19 Happy Autumnal Equinox y'all. What a cool, reliable timepiece our solar system is. 12 hour day, 12 hour night.
9-27-19 CA featured (that is Charles Allen) Nekid Ladies on his daily spam mail-out the PMP (plant, moth, pun). Called that because they bloom sans foliage, well that is what i call them. Some say Red Spider Lily or Hurricane Lily. I have the red and the yellow varieties, they bloom for about 2 weeks, maybe 3.

How about a quote..."Have you thanked a green plant today?", Charles used to put this on the bottom of his Botany tests when he taught at the University. One day a student wrote below that question "If I pass this test, I will kiss a green plant today!" Hahahaaaa!

9-28-19 Well that shows what ol BT knows, looking out at the potted stuff off patio and there is a RTHB working the Plumbago! Sigh.
10-4-19 Moon at first quarter, FM in one week! Watch out! Now what am I going to call this one?
Its 10pm we are at 63mph headed NE on La92, just out of Cade in the curve at the W J Bernard house on the Terrace. We whip down the hill to the crossing at Bayou Tortue curving to the right and straightening out due E. My brights are on and in my peripheral i catch a grey blur hauling it low, left to right, and fast, it is a Coyote, liquid smooth, she crosses the road in one motion, seamlessly jumps the ditch at full speed zipping out of my light and into the night. AhhhHaaaa! I have my name "full 10-4 coyote hauling it moon". It was a sacred happening that experience, she blessed ol BT.

Pun of the month, "Thanks to auto-correct my life is urined". Thanks CA!

10-11-19 Four RTHB in Lafayette, in one spot, oh my, migration still in progress. Cold front and rain on the way and that may be pushing them down.

How about a quote? "Men occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of them pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing ever happened." Sir Winston Churchill
OK, two of them-
"Do not confine your children to your own learning, for they were born of another time" Hebrew Proverb

Margaret did a workshop at a local museum the other day and 4 year old Annie walked in with her dad. When Margaret said hey Annie we are writing poems today, would you like to write one? Annie then began spouting this one without pause. Annie is a ready made poet. Good job to both of you.

Nature and beauty
is pretty.
The trees, the wind,
and everything you know.
Beauty in the diamonds
and when I look inside,
I see the face
I love.
Annie, 4 years old

Diamond btw is Annie's imaginary friend.
Margaret has a new book out Sunshine, the second in her Blessin series.

Y'all, that is all...
peace love possumhugs

  1. Thanks for the shout out to Annie. She's the granddaughter of my supervisor of gifted, Beth DeMahy. She was such a delight to work with.
