Full Spring Peeper Moon

February 19, 2019, FMA Full Spring Peeper rises today at 615 just shortly before sunset. We are socked in by clouds of late and have little hope of a good view, though we know we can count on that reliable time piece the solar system to be right on time. Even my compromised hearing was not denied the piercing calling back and forth in celebration by the Spring Peeper Frogs in ULL's "Swamp", a remnant prairie pothole (buffalo wallow or marais pond) . The warming we are experiencing here on the gulf rim brought them out full force and their urgent mating song made me stop in my tracks and stilled my breath as I was gifted  this rare concert. 1-25-19 P, her dad Ollie and I headed to Lafayette to Out Back to eat out back, in Cade between the two dips we passed an oil train (David) with 107 tanker cars, oh my!
